The Supported Independent Living Program supports adults with an intellectual disability to live in the community independently. This program supports several individuals in dealing with many challenges of daily living.
The supports provided may vary depending on the needs of the individual and may range from medical supports, housekeeping assistance or budgeting, etc. These individuals live in their own apartments, but we also own an apartment building where we support individuals who require more supports and will be transitioning either into their own independent apartment in the community or into a group home based on their long term needs.
It is a goal to keep these individuals as independent as possible for as long as possible, keeping in mind the health and safety of the individual.
